Most people throw away thier amplifier because they are not able to get the same IC number when it is damaged. Carefully read through this article and it will proof you wrong.
There are lots of amplifier ICs around the globe, but I am going to talk about the common one which is STK.
These lists of STK amplifier ICs have different numbers but have a same function. This means, if the number of your amplifier IC is; STK 4131 II and it has damaged, you can replace with different IC number which has been listed here among your IC number.
The only thing you have to check is the voltage, if the voltage of the amplifier is higher than the IC, do not use it.
But if the voltage of the amplifier is lower, you can use IC with both higher and lower voltage for it.
NOTE :The voltage is read from either the positive and the ground or negative and the ground terminals of the amplifier capacitor. But not positive and negative terminals.
