DIFFERENCES BETWEEN DiSEqC AND SPLITTER.

                     IMAGE OF DiSEqC.

DiSEqC (Digital Satellite Equipment Control) and SPLITTER: These two equipments look alike but they are not the same.
In this article, I am going to give you the differences between these two equipments.

First of all one feature that differentiate DiSEqC from SPLITTER is;
DiSEqC has only one receiver nob or connector and more than two to maximum of sixteen lnb input connectors whilst SPLITTER has only one lnb input connector and more than three receiver connectors.

So in this case, DiSEqC is used to receive more than one satellite signals to a single satellite receiver (decoder). With the help of DiSEqC, one decoder can receive many TV and audio channels as it can from different satellites.

SPLITTER is also used for distributing signal from a single satellite dish to more than one decoder.
The only note you have to take in the use of SPLITTER is that, you can not use unique TP (transponders) for each decoder. For example, you can not use (12524) V (30000) for other decoder and use (11674) H (30000) for another decoder using the same SPLITTER.
By doing so, some of the decoders you have contacted to the SPLITTER will lost their signal.
So in this case, you can only use one TP for all the decoders connected to the SPLITTER.

And now that you know the differences between DiSEqC and Splitter, you can subscribe from the email subscription form on this blog to receive all the latest updates that will be posted here through your email address.
